Blue Bird Antiques, a cheerful and fun antique shop with a flair for "off the beaten path" antique, vintage and collectible treasures, celebrated their opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 28th. Located just off of the Ithaca Commons, next to the State Theatre at 113 West State Street, Blue Bird offers an ever changing variety of Antique Furniture & Artwork, 100% Hand Knotted Persian Rugs, Vintage Clothing & Jewelry, Textiles, Ephemera, Porcelain, Glass, etc. The store is owned and operated by Jenny McGuire and offers an interesting and ever changing inventory of unique antique items and treasures from days gone by. Jenny says, “I joined the Chamber because I like being a part of the community. I grew up here, and moved away for 20 years, and it’s great to be back!” Jenny invites everyone to stop in and take a look during regular business hours.
